The biggest spud competition

1.06kg harlequin potato, grown by Lolo le Breton at o'Briens farm between Shanagarry and Ballymaloe

British Queens, as I think I stated earlier, my favourite "New" spud are soon going to be out of season and we will be back into the main crop varieties like Roosters: easy to cook and taste good, Kirr Pinks: never know how it is spelt but they taste very good and are good and floury but harder to cook & my favourite: Golden Wonders which are damb fine when boiled if you can stop them exploding but really should be baked in an aga and eaten with masses of butter!!

Any how, that's not got anything to do with the biggest spud competition. Ivan our chef dug up this magnificent 1.06kg harlequin potato, grown by Lolo le Breton at o'Briens farm between Shanagarry and Ballymaloe and we're wondering if you can top it. Entries to be sent to cully@cullyandsully.com and the biggest heaviest specimen wins a Christmas present!

All specimens must be photographed on a scales with an egg for scale purposes!
