Really really good, just eating one at my desk right now. Probably not the most authentic with all that extra veg but it certainly is a homely, comforting dinner!
Bit disappointed about the lack of chicken though. Only a few tiny shreds, at least that's all I can see. Maybe I just picked a bad one from the shelf. Some more substantial bites of chicken would be much preferred.
Other than that delish!
Keep up the good work!

Thanks a million Foodie Student.
We received the below email on Oct 30th 2009- thanks a million David
Just arrived back home to Bandon after a long shopping trip. I put one of those hot pot curry thingys in the microwave. The aroma that went around the house was quite enticing. It even hat the cat sitting in front in the oven waiting to see what was coming out! Guys, that stuff is the bees knees. I'm well full after that. Shame i didn't buy more. Well done on a fantastic
product. Can't wait to try the rest.
Cheers

We received this email on Wednesday November 4th. Thank you so much Celine
and as I replied in the email, you are right about the film- we went way overboard with it and we will be making them easier to remove in future batches. Thank you again
Hi,
I bought the above hot pot today and I have to say it was the best chicken curry I have ever tasted. The blend of ginger and coriander was wonderful.
BUT.....I know....there is always a BUT.....I had a problem with the packaging. The easiest way to remove the film would be to peel it off but unfortunately this is not the case with this pot. I found it awkward to cut it out and remove the hot film. However this would not stop me from purchasing your hot pots but perhaps it is something to look into.
Can't wait to taste all the other hot pots.
Regards
Celine Mullins

Our new curry hot pot received a 5 star excellent rating in todays Irish Times Price Watch article.
Cully & Sully Chicken Curry
€3 for 400g, €7.50 per kg
HIGHS : This is sweet and tomatoey with a subtle spiciness. Alongside the good quality chicken pieces are decent chunks of potato, chick peas, sweetcorn, onions and rice. It is the most substantial of the lot
LOWS : It’s not the chicken that gives it substance as it’s made with just 10 per cent meat
VERDICT : Top notch nosh
RATTING : * * * * *

Balti House Balti Chicken Curry
€3.99 for 3550g, €11.40 per kg
HIGHS : It’s made with 38 per cent top quality chicken breast. The onions are crunchy and the sauce is rich with a spicy kick that creeps up on you
LOWS: It will need to be supplemented with rice and is comparatively expensive. It’s also quite salty and a 150g serving contains nearly a third of an adult’s GDA of salt
VERDICT : Very good
RATING : * * * *
______________________________
Tesco Value Chicken Curry witth Rice
€1.25 for 300g, €4.16 per kg
HIGHS : Cheap. The sauce isn’t terrible. Ingredient list is free of nasty-sounding additives
LOWS : Chicken was a little soft, the rice dry and almost entirely tasteless and we were pleased the portion size was so small
VERDICT : Poor
RATING : * *

Dunnes Stores Chicken Curry
€2.99 for 450g, €6.64 per kg
HIGHS: The sauce tastes like the sauce which might be ladled over chips in your local chipper – with meat added. Portion size is good, with 33 per cent chicken. While a long way from authentic, it’s not bad
LOWS : Some of the chicken was a bit grey and the sultanas a bit salty
VERDICT : Oddly pleasant
RATING : * * *

Hi Cully & Scully,
I just want to say a big thank you for creating those amazing gluten free
soups they are delicious and exactly what I need on a cold winters day. As
I've just been diagnosed with Coeliacs disease I'm always on the lookout for
nice gluten free foods. The chicken curry hot pot is gorgeous too.
A job very well done, I'm impressed so keep up the hard work and keep up with
the gluten free meals. Can't wait to see what you bring out next.
Take care and kind regards,
Rachael
The strike is on again
You are the best!! I really enjoyed your new cheeky chicken curry. There is nobody doing anything gluten free remotely like it.
On behalf of myself and all other coeliacs on the planet Thankyou thankyou
Mary Skehill
Guys - I love the Hot Pots (even though the film is a bugger to open!!!). Would it be too much trouble for you to print the nutritional information per pot rather than per 100g as my maths is crap... and who only eats 100g of this gorgeousness anyway!!!
Cheers
Aoife
Hi, really liked it, different in a good way to anything else out there - could live without the chickpeas but the sauce is superb and the pot is a great simple meal - agree about the film being a drag to cut off but I wouldn't bother wasting money on it, agree about the great aroma while cooking - perfect food for a cold winter's nite - need more meals though, how about a chowder or even better a spicy chilli?

It is nicer than our local takeaway at half price and much more healthy. Please could you tell Supu Valu Fermoy to stock more than two tubs of it as there is never any there.

your biggest fan,

Hey Deirdre,
Thank you so much. We really appreciate that. You are a star.
We have just launched two new hot pots this week- a chilli con carne and a tantalizing chicken tikka- both are gorgeous if I'm allowed say that! They will only be in Dunnes and Superquinn for the moment and we will have them in Tesco's over the next few weeks. All the very best and thanks again. Sully
