Prawns- Ballycotton style

Start Cookbook

Boil a large saucepan of water (the biggest you've got) and add a mountain of salt (you've gotta trust us- the saltier the better- make those dudes feel really at home!).

When the water starts to boil throw them in for a swim and give them a minute or two. They'll let you know when they've had enough as they'll start to float. Best to do them in batches of about 10 if you've a large amount. Let them dry out on a warmed tray while their other buddies are cooking.

Meanwhile, melt some butter in a saucepan with some crushed garlic and lemon juice. A perfect dipping sauce for your prawns at the table.

Serve with a tasty green salad and either some crusty bread or steamed spuds for a real feast. Prepare to drip and slurp your way to prong-ey heaven!
