Has anyone tried the pickled anchovies at the olive stall in the English Market, Cork, they are devine.

Last night my boyfriend, John, came over and I put them into a pasta dish with basil pesto, pumpkin, green beans and some grated parmesan on top. It was a yummy combination.

It's gas actually that that's their reputation and particularly since I'm the kind who like to chat (about everything I hear you say) about what's in stuff or look for recommendations about accompaniments or something new to try (obviously not when there's a queue there, I'm not willing to risk my life)

When I do find myself in a queue by the olive stand though, the customers tend to start chatting to each other about what to get. Usually started by me as I wonder aloud "what should I get today?"

This also worked well when I pondered aloud about questions during my driver theory test.
I love it when people cough answers in your general direction.

I tried the anchovies, they are divine. On their own, in a roll with hummus and pesto any which way. Thank you Fawn for my new addiction, I wonder if they will home deliver.
