I tasted your pea soup but can't seem to find it anywhere. I'm living in tralee!
HI there. Thanks so much for that. Up until recently our pea and mint soup was in Dunnes on the North Circular Road in Tralee but its just been delisted from all Dunnes Stores. We did our utmost to try and save it but thats the way. If we can get enough people to ask for it we just might get Dunnes to change their decision- so please, please- next time you're in ask the manager if they can get it in. It's not in Tesco Tralee or SuperValu (Garveys) Tralee. Garveys could order it in- but again you have to ask. They are all really good shops and customer power is so helpful to us!!!

but the prize must be taken at a certain time, what if a person is in full time employment and cannot get that time off????

We are hoping the person who will win it will want to do the course so badly that they will be happy to take the time off or change their careers, so in some cases due to this horrible recession, they may not have a job right now and this could help change their lives. Hi I love the chef factor idea! I had a quick look at your terms and conditions and it states
"The Ballymaloe Cookery Course can be redeemed in either January 2010 or January 2011"
The competition was just launched in Sept 2010 does this mean that the only option is Jan 2011 as Jan 2010 happened a while ago or should it read Jan 2011 or Jan 2012

I'm also super excited to enter in chef factor! I know I have what it takes to win. I love watching programs about cooking where everyone competes to win like Master Chef and Hell's kitchen. This is the perfect competition for me to enter. The only problem is deciding which of my dishes to enter so I win!

Hey Shelly- yes you will be able to see who has the most votes and how many they have. Also from the 25th you will be able to read everyones 50 words, so it's all up front. We have 77 entires - all of which are outstanding. Can't wait now for the last few to come in over the next 7 days and for voting to start. What a hoot!

You'll be able to vote for more then one entry - but you will only be able to vote for each entry once, if that makes sense?
I'll try to explain that better, you will be able to "like" as many different entries as you wish, but you can't "like" each one more then once.

Will you be able to only vote once for the person you like in the month or will it be once per day?
The first time you have voted for the person you 'like' you can't vote for them again throughout the rest of the competition. It's only fair really.
Answer to above question- As soon as you click that 'like' for the person you want to win thats it! You can't vote again for them for the rest of the competition. Once in total! You can however vote for more then one person though. Mines the 'crackin crab' entry if you have a spare vote. He He

Hi Pizzaboyo- so sorry about this. We had a lot of discussion about this decision but it was the only way that we could verify votes properly. Otherwise we were open to attack from people who could run algorithms, which would reck havoc. This has happened in a lot of other online competitions. You could start a facebook page though? Sully

Just have a bit of a problem. I have told people that the easiest way to find my entry is to go to Dublin entries which says there are (44) mines the Crackin crab entry, but it seems to keep disappearing off it! It was there briefly this morning but then a friend said she couldn't find it and when I looked it was gone. The joys of technology!!

Hey Nina, everytime I check my pic is in a different place for some reason even though theres only 6 entries on the page
so if your in with 40 odd entries it's gonna keep moving to different spots. I've no idea what the reason for this is though maybe its something to do with image burn or something like that.

Hi Cully & Sully! Sometimes when I go to Cork my entry isn't there either and when I'm looking thru all the entries and change pages the same people come up... is that the way it is meant to be?

At the moment every time you load a page the entries you see are random, we really just did this so that the homepage would have different people on it each time someone comes to the site, the order is totally random.
Unfortunately this is also the case if you go to page 2, so, you might see some people more then once and others not at all, but the odds of showing up are the same for everyone.
We'll be adding different ways of browsing the entries this evening, so you can actually browse all the entries from beginning to end.
